Typical Class

 

  • A 45 minutes theme based session

  • Warm up stretches and Sun salutations

 

  • Explore different postures / asanas based on our theme, using music, children literature, art, games
     

  • Closing using breath work / guided meditations / exploration of important questions through discussions

 

  • ​Final relaxation

  • Yoga with children offers many possibilities to exchange wisdom, share good times, develop healthy habits,and lay the foundation for a lifetime of wellness

 

  • Yoga at a young age encourages mind and body awareness, with a physical activity that is non-competitive 

 

  • It provides them with tools to handle their emotions better and navigate through school challenges with a little more ease

  • Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, balance, and coordination​

Class Guidelines 

  • Please be on time to get the most out of the class. Class timings are 5:30 - 6:15 pm

  • Things can happen, you might run late… Please enter quietly and take your spot on an empty mat

  • Excitement and interaction are key elements of learning, don’t let it distract you or your classmates from the actual content. Please be mindful of other people’s time while involved in a discussion, sharing process, or any other process

  • Raise your hand if you wish to add to the discussion or have any question

  • Allow yourself five minutes at the end of each class to fold your mat and put all other props away in the prop closet

  • I really love you all and am honored to teach you some key Yoga elements. Please have total fun in the class!
